MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

How to change negative things into positive ones this Christmas and always!!

Our Christmas wish for you is that you feel the glow and sparkle of the holiday season throughout the year to come.

COMPUTER ROOM . CHRISTMAS

December and 2015 are about to finish. Let's begin today's class with a couple of "year-in-reviews". The first one is Facebook's Year In Review and the second is by TED: The Year in Ideas.

Charles Schulz, the creator of "Peanuts"  wrote a little fable  about how a meaningful  holiday such as Christmas has become so commercialized that it has  lost any meaning. The only magic Christmas now allows  is the kind we create ourselves when we pay attention to someone besides ourselves.

"A Charlie Brown Christmas" remains true to both the spirit of Christmas and to the spirit of "Peanuts."

Although it t emphasizes the need for hope and love, it still reminds us that for many people around the world the Christmas season can bring anxiety and a feeling of being alone and unloved. Watch it!!

And finally, choose any game and enjoy!!

ENJOY THE WEEKEND!!

Back to reading practice with this article from The Guardian.

Next some more Christmas advertisements: Argos, Harrods and Cadbury.

And, finally, sing along ........

SHERLOCK HOLMES

This is the book most of you have already got and should start reading. Its author is Arthur Conan Doyle, a Scottish writer most known for his stories about the detective sherlock Holmes.

MORE CHRISTMAS ADVERTS

These are two of the most popular Christmas advertisements.
Sainsbury's with Mog's Christmas calamity.

And, John Lewis' Man On The Moon.

I would like to leave this city
This old town don't smell too pretty and
I can feel the warning signs running around my mind
And when I leave this island
I book myself into a soul asylum
I can feel the warning signs running around my mind

So here I go
I'm still scratching around in the same old hole
My body feels young but my mind is very old
So what do you say?
You can't give me the dreams that are mine anyway
You're half the world away
You're half the world away

And when I leave this planet
You know I'd stay but I just can't stand it and
I can feel the warning signs running around my mind
And if I can leave this spirit
I'll find me a hole and I'll live in it
I can feel the warning signs running around my mind

So here I go
I'm still scratching around in the same old hole
My body feels young but my mind is very old
So what do you say?
You can't give me the dreams that are mine anyway
You're half the world away
You're half the world away

You're half the world away
I've been lost, I've been found
But I don't feel down
You're half the world away
I've been lost, I've been found
But I don't feel down
I don't feel down

Hello it’s Halloween!

The air is cool
And the moon is full
Turn on the light
Before the vampires bite!
The witches are cooking
The zombies are looking
And your doorbell rings
